Day 5

Tuesday, July 12

A relaxing day in Charlottesville. We went out to Bodos for bagels and coffee in the morning. Sadly, they did not have iced coffee so I had to settle for hot even though it was close to 100 degrees outside. We picked up our new tent and sent the old one home along with Ben's sneakers that he thought were too heavy to be lugging around. Then we took the bus into the downtown area where we were looking for a Mexican restaurant. We got very lucky with Mono Loco, which happened to be celebrating taco Tuesday! We got two tacos and a margarita each and then asked the waitress for a suggestion for an ice cream place. She sent us to Sweetfrogs frozen yogurt shop which was incredible! It was similar to pinkberry, with lots of fresh fruit and candy for toppings. After we were fully full we walked around a little more- there was a pedestrian walkway just like Church St. in Burlington. We took the bus back to the hotel, packed up our stuff and looked forward to getting back on our bikes!
